In June 2025, Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC), through the Livestock Sector Strengthening Program, held a three-day capacity-building workshop in Mwingi for Kamuthe’s Community Land Management Committee (CLMC).
The training explored the Participatory Rangeland Management (PRM) approach: a practical, community-driven method for sustainable rangeland use.
It also deepened the CLMC’s understanding of the Community Land Regulations of 2017, which is a subsidiary legislation that implements the Community Land Act (2016) in Kenya.
The tools and knowledge garnered are crucial in protecting pastoral livelihoods, ensuring responsible land use, and enhancing climate resilience in our region.
We thank our partners, FCDC, for their continued support and commitment to building strong, community-led institutions for natural resource governance.
