In September 2025, our team of rangers and management staff at Kamuthe Wildlife Conservancy completed a three-day benchmarking and educational tour at LUMO Wildlife Conservancy in Taita Taveta.
Our partners Save Giraffes Now, the Frontier Counties Development Council (FCDC), and the Dry Lands Learning and Capacity Initiative (DLCI), in collaboration with the Kenya Wildlife Service, supported the transformative learning forum.

Key takeaways from the tour were:
- Training on EarthRanger for real-time monitoring & anti-poaching
- Insights into governance & strategic planning
- Learning from community-driven conservation and sustainable projects
The visit ended with a visionary session with LUMO’s Board, setting the stage for future collaboration.
It continued to cement Kamuthe’s commitment to stronger partnerships, smarter strategies, and greater impact for people and wildlife.
